FOR PEACE

We join together in this sacred space,

Intent on opening heart and soul

To God’s peace. We are a source of peace

When we go into the silence and feel the presence of

God and Spirit there with us.

We are called to reflect God’s peace, 

Beginning within ourselves and radiating peace to those around us and throughout the world.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE:

1 Peter 3:10-11

For those who desire life and desire to see good days, let them keep their tongues from evil and their lips from speaking deceit; let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer.

Romans 14:18-19

The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval. Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

LET US PRAY FOR PEACE

FOR EQUALITY

We come together as seekers of opportunities,

Knowing that God’s abundance belongs to all beings

In all circumstances and all places.

We pray for equal treatment for all  God’s people

Knowing that in God’s Universe there is enough

To open the path to wholeness for all.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

Genesis 1:27

So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Leviticus 19:33-34

When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

LET US PRAY FOR EQUALITY

FOR EQUITY

We acknowledge that in our world there are chances and choices

That are denied to many.

We pray to God that all people may benefit from

The divine order that moves the stars and planets

And governs the sun rising and setting each day.

Divine abundance becomes opportunity 

when hearts and minds are led to it.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

James 5:4

Listen! The wages of the laborer who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts

Romans 2:10-11

But glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. For God shows no partiality.

LET US PRAY FOR EQUITY

FOR JUSTICE

We gather as advocates for fairness and for the

Recognition of each person’s worth.

Divine Mind gives us knowledge of  the

Principles of Justice that are to be applied

Across all nations and all living beings.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

Isaiah 61:8

For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing.

Amos 5:24

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever flowing stream.

Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.

LET US PRAY FOR JUSTICE

FOR ACTIVISM

We gather our energies and  focus

On the right things that God places in front of us to do. 

Knowing that God empowers the collective 

Will of those oriented in Love for our fellows.

We ask for ourselves that we may participate to advance justice and compassion

As Jesus taught us to do.

We pray this for all people

BIBLE VERSE

Acts 20:34-35

You know for yourselves that I worked with my own hands to support myself and my companions, In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive’.

Proverbs 31:8-9

Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.

LET US PRAY FOR ACTIVISM

FOR KINDNESS

We gather to affirm that all beings face challenges

That we know nothing about.

Therefore we pledge to behave with kindness

In our interactions with others,

Sharing God’s healing light wherever we go.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

Philippians 2:3-5

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you as was in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:22-23

By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against such things.

LET US PRAY FOR KINDNESS

FOR LOVE

We affirm that the Universe is powered by love;

And that God’s love flows through us all.

We wish to approach every being from a solid foundation of love.

We acknowledge that this may be challenging at times, 

But we strive to see the good in every being and to love with conviction.

Love conquers all.

We pray this for all people

Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered, The first is ‘Hear O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love your God with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’. There is no other commandment greater than these.

Luke 6:27-28

“But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those that hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.’

John 15:12

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

LET US PRAY FOR LOVE

FOR UNITY

We strive to recognize the inherent value in solidarity

With those who are in need.

We acknowledge the union of Precious Spirit 

With all beings and all creation.

We gather in Unity to uphold its’ principles

And express the Christ within.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

1 Peter 3:8-9

Finally, all of you have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing It is for this that you were called – that you might inherit a blessing.

Romans 15:5-6

May the God of Steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in unity with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

LET US PRAY FOR UNITY

FOR UNDERSTANDING

We gather together to listen to other people

And strive to understand one another.

Though there may be differences of thought

We seek to reach agreement whenever possible

And to respect beliefs different from our own.

We search for common ground upon which we can live together.

We pray this for all people.

BIBLE VERSE

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.

Hebrews 11:1-3

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.

LET US PRAY FOR UNDERSTANDING

FOR JOY
We affirm that in the course of our lives
We have experienced the warmth of joy.
For this we are grateful.
Joy is a light in the darkness.
Joy is a manifestation of God’s grace on earth.
All that is needed is an open heart and a willing spirit
And joy will illuminate the moment.

We pray this for all people.

John 15:11
I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
Psalm 16:11
You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Isaiah 55:12
For you shall go out in joy and be led back in peace; the mountains and hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
